Different slewing mechanisms use different types of slewing motors, including OMD, RCV, and inverter systems. Accordingly, they are equipped with OMD motors, torque motors, and inverter motors respectively.
Product Main Features
Most slewing systems are equipped with two motors, which operate simultaneously. Only one of the motors needs to be fitted with a brake, which is why motor configurations are divided into “with brake” and “without brake” types. In the illustration, the motor on the right is equipped with a windmill brake, while the one on he
left is without a brake.For small tower cranes such as 4-ton and 6-ton models, a single motor may be sufficient. For large tower cranes, a three-motor configuration may also be used.
